Navy Speaks. Gold Shines.
Two colors, one cream, plenty of white. Click a code to copy.
Colors
The everyday recipe: white leads, navy speaks, gold garnishes. Poster moments (a solid navy or gold page with one sentence on it) are the earned exception; use at most one per piece.
If / then
- Text on white → navy, never gold.
- Background is navy → text is white, accents gold.
- Background is gold → text is navy only.
- Need a soft panel → cream (#FBF7EC), not gray.
- Want a third color → cream is the third color; photos supply the rest. (The magazine's pastel confetti accents are a designer-only kit: decoration, never text, never everyday pieces.)
Print, fabric & screens
- Web & slides: use the hex codes. Print: use CMYK. Embroidery/screenprint: give the vendor PMS 281 + PMS 1225 C. (PMS 654, the old spec, printed royal — it's retired.)
- Can't specify an exact color — stock garments, vendor order forms? Ask for "Navy Blue," never "Royal Blue."
- Fabric never matches perfectly. Pick the closest stock navy and gold and stay close; never drift to black, royal blue, or orange-gold.
Typography
Trajan Pro: the official display face. Capitals, letter-spaced, never bold-shouted. It's in the Canva brand kit, or download the font file.
Times New Roman: body, sub-heads, pull quotes (bold italic). Already on every machine.
Myriad Pro: labels, captions, charts. Eyebrows get a gold "//" prefix. Trajan speaks for the institution; bold sans for a person's name.
Trinity print's most recognizable device: a thin gold keyline box around a navy Trajan heading, like the one above. Once or twice per piece, never every heading.
Headline case: the little words (of, in, and, the) go italic.
"Trinity wasn't just an option; it was a calling for our family."— Trinity parent
Pull quotes: Times bold italic, navy, with a thin gold rule.
